Furman University Student Activites Board

FUSAB is a group of 55 student members focused on planning, coordinating and executing social activities for the Furman student body.

Positions Held

President (2013)

Responsible for all aspects of student organization of 55 members, oversee and run executive and general board meetings, represent the board to Student Government Association and be the public representation for the board

Vice President of Programming (2012)

Oversee 5 committee chairs with a combined budget of approximately $300,000 per year, plan Spring and Fall retreats, keep track of member requirements, and responsible for outside club coordination

Committee Chair (2011)

Plan events on campus for students, contact agents and vendors to bring entertainers and speakers to campus, head a committee of 10 members, and work with a budget of $40,000 per semester

Positions Held

Panhellenic Representative (2013)

Work closely with the Panhellenic executive board and other sorority delegates to effectively run the Furman Panhellenic Council, planned and executed a parents weekend football tailgate, and helped plan and coordinate Greek Week activities with other panhellenic and fraternity groups.

Career and Personal Development Chair (2012)

Organized events and information for my chapter in order to enhance future career plans and personal well being.

Marketing Team (2012)

Kept up and maintained a twitter account and website for our chapter, posting information about events and interesting facts facts about what is going on in the chapter.
