Lakes Photo Shoot
One of the coolest things about my summer internship was a photo shoot I helped with for the new leather, Lakes, line of flip flops. It was very interesting to be able to be a part of the shoot and see the many aspects of how a photo shoot works.
Halloween in July
One of the best things about Hari Mari is their commitment to philanthropy. For each pair of shoes sold, Hari Mari donates $3 to help kids with pediatric cancer at two local Texas hospitals. So along with that, we went to Camp John Marc for a day to help the kids receiving the donations celebrate Halloween with some flip flops.
Grassroots Marketing
During my summer internship, I learned a lot about grassroots marketing and sales. On several weekends, another intern and I would set up a booth at music festivals and other smaller local events. The goal was to sell as many pair of shoes as possible and to get the word out about the brand. We researched, planned and executed twelve of these grassroots communications events, educating audiences on Hari Mari flip flops and generating nearly $25,000 in gross sales.
